Trash Hero is a global movement aimed at tackling the growing issue of waste, particularly plastic, by organizing community cleanups and promoting sustainable habits. Founded in Thailand in 2013, it has expanded to numerous countries, including Myanmar.
Trash Hero Ngapali is a local initiative in Lintha, Myanmar, focused on cleaning up waste. Mummy Sue immediately recognized the importance of this initiative. She met with the founder of Trash Heroes Myanmar and started out with students and teachers from the School, to collect trash in reusable bags and separate recyclable materials to reduce pollution.
Every Sunday, the children and teachers clean up plastic waste in the village and on the beach. They work in groups, wear Trash Hero T-shirts, and learn about the importance of a clean environment. This effort is part of the global Trash Hero movement, which promotes waste reduction and environmental awareness. Joris Foundation fully supports this.
